Prince Maroon
Whodunit
You are the killer.  After your rendezvous with Miss Scarlet, the two of you agreed to re-enter the house by separate doors.  You walked back in the front, while she waited to return through the conservatory.  As you came in, you passed by the parlor and saw a man sitting in a wing chair facing the window.  You knew that Colonel Mustard habitually sat there reading with a cigar and a glass of brandy.  All at once, the years of pent-up rage became too much for you to handle.  Picking up a candlestick from the hall table, you crept up behind him and smashed him over the head.  Only when you turned him over to make sure he was dead did you realize that the man was really Mr. White.

You wiped and replaced the candlestick just in time to see two avenues of escape being cut off.  Empress Ebony and Miss Peach were outside, passing by the front door, just as you heard someone coming down the stairs.  Panicked, you ran back outside through the dining room door.  This brought you back to where Miss Scarlet was hiding, so you had to tell her what had happened.

You returned to the barn to talk strategy.  Miss Scarlet was in favor of your running away together, but you  said that it would appear to be an admission of guilt.  It’s true, but what you didn’t say is that you are not willing to give up the Countess, who is a much wealthier and more appropriate bride. You were still arguing when the body was discovered.
